Signing Off….Sort Of
With very mixed emotions I’m announcing that today will by my last day on the radio. I’ve been lucky enough to have the opportunity to work in radio and TV for so long that I guess I thought it might not ever end; that is not the case today. Leaving radio will be difficult for me, but I’m excited about what lies ahead.
I want to thank everyone involved at 700 ESPN for giving me an opportunity to do what I love for so long. They took a shot with me almost nine years ago by letting me be a permanent part of our radio show. I cannot express the amount of joy and laughter this show has given me. We’ve had many versions of our show through the years and it has been fun every step along the way. I want to thank Dennis, Rick, and Steve for their friendship and support for so long. I want to thank all of our listeners for being so loyal, and making me want to come to work every day. Being on radio has allowed me to spread my wings and really show my personality and hopefully give people at least a little insight to my world. I will truly miss this show.
The good news in this story is I will remain at KXLY 4 News as Sports Director. It has been a long time since I could focus all my energy on the TV side of things and I look forward to what this change can do for our department. I want to thank everyone at KXLY for their patience over the last nine years as they have allowed me to split my time, which I know has been a burden to my co-workers. I’m very happy that I still have a home in TV where I can continue to do what I love.
Thank you all for the wonderful memories, and as always…thanks for listening.
