SPOKANE, Wash. – This match-up between two top-ten teams was expected to be a lot closer, but the depth of Gonzaga’s roster led to a beat-down Monday night in the Spokane Arena.
No. 6 Gonzaga beat No. 8 Baylor, 101-63.
The Zags’ top scorer was Nolan Hickman; the starting guard had 17 points along with starting forward Graham Ike following close behind with 15 points and eight rebounds.
Three other Bulldogs scored in the double-digits Monday including Braden Huff, Dusty Stromer and Khalif Battle.
A win against a top-ten opponent is a big one for Gonzaga’s resume. This win marked 19-straight season-opener wins for the Bulldogs.
Next up, the Zags face Arizona State at home, Sunday at 2 p.m.
