SPOKANE, Wash. – ESPN college basketball commentator Sean Farnham returns to Spokane this weekend ahead of Gonzaga’s big game against Saint Mary’s, but his return isn’t just about hoops.
Rather, he returns to the kitchen, serving up flatbreads at the Davenport Hotel in downtown Spokane.
A portion of all flatbread proceeds go to Coaches vs. Cancer, a fund that helps research more to end the deadly disease.
“I want to make a dent in the fight against cancer, and I want people to have awareness that that fight never stops, no matter whether it’s college basketball season or not,” Farnham said. “I could have very easily taken the night off and just enjoyed myself in Spokane, but instead I’m going to be sweatin'”.
Farnham’s signature flatbread is the spicy shrimp version, now named after him.
The event takes place tomorrow evening starting at 5:00 p.m. in the Safari Lounge at the Davenport Hotel.
For those unable to make the trip, Farnham has a link here for those wishing to donate to the cause.
