SPOKANE, Wash. – It only took five minutes into the first period to establish a multi-goal lead, and the Spokane Chiefs never looked back.
Spokane beat the Tri-City Americans 9-6 on a night that saw two goals on the Chiefs’ first five shots on goal, five goals in the first period, and nine overall in an outstanding night for the first line.
Berkly Catton, Andrew Cristall and Owen Martin combined for 13 points, Catton and Cristall both with five points.
This win is Spokane’s fourth against Tri-City this season, breaking the tie and setting their season record at 4-3.
The Chiefs turn around and head south to the Americans in a rematch tomorrow at 6:05 p.m.
