NEW YORK, N.Y. – Former Gonzaga Bulldog star forward Anton Watson signed a two-way contract with the New York Knicks today just two days after the Boston Celtics waived him.
Watson, a former Gonzaga Prep high school standout, has yet to play in an NBA game, exclusively playing for the G-League Maine Celtics this past year averaging 12.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists, including almost 30 minutes played per game.
The former Zag is likely to split time in between Manhattan and Westchester County, where the Westchester Knicks of the G-League play.
Watson was the 54th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
