SPOKANE, Wash. – Down by a goal only five minutes into the match, the Spokane Velocity didn’t blink against Westchester SC, and evened the match by halftime en route to a 3-1 win.
Pierre Ready scored the tying goal in the 44th minute, then Anuar Pelaez took the game-winner in the 49th. Ismaila Jome scored the insurance strike in the 63rd minute.
This win leaps Spokane to the top of the USL League One standings, tying FC Naples with 14 points.
Next up for the Velocity is a road trip to South Georgia Tormenta FC, a 38-hour drive away.
