SPOKANE, Wash. – Battered by 13 hits and 10 runs, the Spokane Indians couldn’t keep up tonight, and fell 10-7 to the Tri-City Dust Devils.
Skyler Messinger’s three-hit, RBI game wasn’t enough to spark the offense until too late, scoring three of their seven runs in the bottom of the ninth.
Jordy Vargas picked up another loss on the mound, upping his ERA to 6.89 as he allowed four hits and three runs in his 3.0 innings pitched, but he did strike out six batters.
Spokane returns for Game 5 against Tri-City tomorrow evening at 5:09 p.m.
