SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga Bulldogs just got one pretty big dude.
The 6’11 center from Mississippi committed to the Zags today over home-state teams Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
Funches visited Spokane during Kraziness in the Kennel a couple of weeks ago, becoming the first big man commit of GU’s 2026 class.
The leftie provides great rim protection to Gonzaga’s defense, and scores well inside the paint with an 11.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.1 assists stat line across his last season with Team Sipp United.
Funches joins guard Jack Kayil as the two Gonzaga 2026 commits so far.
