LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Washington State Cougars couldn’t get their first win of the season yet as they fell 64-51 to the UNLV Lady Rebels.
Eleonora Villa scored a game-high 19 points, but she was one of only two Cougs with double-digit scoring.
WSU turned the ball over 20 times and shot just 4-20 from three, the Cougs with one fewer turnover and half as many threes made as their loss to Idaho.
Another stark stat difference was free throw shooting, as UNLV made 24 on 29 attempts, while WSU only shot 5-6.
Wazzu stays on the road this Saturday against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds at 1:00 p.m. PST.
