PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State Cougars (12-17, 7-9) fell to the Saint Mary’s Gaels (25-4, 14-2), 83-67 on senior night to fall to seventh in the WCC.
Paulius Murauskas recorded a 17-point, 12-rebound double-double after a slow start, keeping the Gaels a game behind Gonzaga for the top spot in the conference.
ND Okafor and Ace Glass both scored 15 to lead WSU, the Cougs either winning or down by as little as four the entire first half.
Saint Mary’s closed the game on a 31-17 run.
Wazzu has just two games left this regular season, starting at the LMU Lions at 8:00 p.m. next Wednesday.
