LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Washington State Cougars (12-20, 7-11) fell to the Portland Pilots (15-18, 6-12) in a hard-fought 74-68 final, ending the Cougs’ run in the WCC Tournament.
Ace Glass led the Cougs with 19 points, breaking Myles Rice’s single-season freshman scoring record.
The Cougs cleaned up the turnover issue with just seven, holding Portland to only four points off said turnovers. Wazzu allowed 21 free throw attempts and lost the rebound battle, negating the positive turnover stat.
WSU ends their season at 12-20, their first 20-loss season since 2018-19.
