SPOKANE, Wash. – The No. 1-seeded Lummi Nation Blackhawks are back-to-back 1B boys state champions, defeating the No. 3-seeded Tulalip Heritage Hawks, 61-56.
Jerome Toby scored the final six Blackhawks’ points of the game, plus he led his team with 26 points.
The win marks the fifth time this season Lummi Nation beat Tulalip Heritage, and it secures a third state title, preventing Tulalip from its first.
