BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Vandals (29-5, 17-1) beat the Montana State Bobcats (25-7, 16-2), 60-57, to clinch both the Big Sky tournament title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
The V’s broke a decade-long March Madness drought with the win, securing their place in the field for just the fifth time in program history.
Ana Beatriz Passos Alves da Silva led Idaho with 12 points, her second time this season scoring double digits against MSU.
Idaho waits for their final seeding, location and opponent on Selection Sunday’s show at 5:00 p.m. PST.
