SEACAUCUS, N.J. – The 2026 NHL Draft order locked into place today, and the Seattle Kraken slipped one spot to earn the No. 7 overall pick.
Seattle has its third-highest pick in draft history, behind 2021 (2nd) and 2022 (4th).
The top prospects at around No. 7 are mostly defensemen, like North Dakota’s Keaton Verhoeff and Prince George’s Carson Carels.
The Kraken also possess another first-round pick, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and its exact spot will be determined after the NHL Playoffs conclude.
