SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – For the sixth time in Gonzaga baseball history, the Zags threw a no-hitter.
Karsten Sweum threw 15 strikeouts, tied for the second-most in GU history, allowing two walks and no hits in a run-rule seven-inning performance. He threw 93 total pitches, and his 99 strikeouts this season are the most among all WCC pitchers.
The 13-0 win over the San Francisco Dons clinches a share of the WCC regular season title for Gonzaga, and they have the tournament No. 1 seed clinched as well.
Gonzaga has a 12-game win streak over the Dons, and the Zags go for the series sweep in tomorrow’s Game 3 at 1:00 p.m.
