SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Zephyr earned a critical three points in the USL Super League playoff race to hop over DC Power following a 1-0 home win.
Emma Jaskaniec scored the game-winner in the 69th minute, knocking a right-footed shot past the keeper in a tightly contested scrum around the box.
Spokane’s win avenges a 1-0 loss to DC at ONE Spokane Stadium earlier this season and knocks them out of the postseason race, too.
The Zephyr remains one point behind Dallas Trinity; both teams have one regular-season game remaining. A Spokane win or draw, combined with a Dallas loss, clinches the spot for Spokane, and either a Spokane loss or a Dallas win locks in the Trinity.
Spokane plays Brooklyn FC to close the regular season next Saturday, May 16, at 1:00 p.m.
