SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Indians fell 7-6 to open their six-game homestand against the Hillsboro Hops.
Robert Calaz hit a go-ahead home run to open the scoring, and Spokane surged offensively to lead 5-0 after the fourth inning.
Hillsboro answered with a 7-0 run over the next three frames, coming ahead and earning the opening win to prevent a tie in the standings.
Spokane preps for Game 2 starting tomorrow at 6:35 p.m.
