SAN ANTONIO, Tex. – Another former Zag makes his way to the National Basketball Association, or at least a real shot.
Tyon Grant-Foster signed today an NBA Summer League deal with the defending Western Conference Champions, the San Antonio Spurs, becoming the second Zag to sign a pro deal after Graham Ike went to Golden State.
The wing earned medical clearance from the NBA last week, clearing the way for this signing.
Grant-Foster earns his NBA shot after suffering multiple season-ending injuries, playing community college ball before transferring to Kansas, DePaul, Grand Canyon, and Gonzaga.
If he were to make the final San Antonio roster, the 26-year-old would be older than over half the players currently signed.
