SPOKANE, Wash. — Over 1,000 people were treated by MultiCare staff at Hoopfest this year.
According to MultiCare, this year’s total marks an increase of 84 patients from last year.
Most of the treatments were people asking for tape, with 537 requests for tape over the weekend.
Some of the more serious injuries included 20 achilles ruptures, 19 serious knee injuries, 44 fractures, and over 100 strains and sprains.
MultiCare says in total, it provided care for 1,124 patients during the world’s larges 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
