SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Chiefs announced they have named Parker Burgess as Associate Coach ahead of the 2026-27 season on a multi-year contract, according to a statement from the team.
Burgess led the Muskegon Lumberjacks to the USHL Clark Cup championship in 2025 and spent last season as head coach of the Vancouver Giants. In the past four seasons, he has coached and developed 13 players selected in the NHL Draft, including five first-round picks.
“I’m extremely excited to have the opportunity to bring in a coach like Parker,” Head Coach Brad Lauer said in the announcement. “With the experience he brings and the championship pedigree he has, I believe he’s a tremendous fit for both me and our organization.”
Burgess spent three seasons with Muskegon from 2022 to 2025, compiling 91 wins. He previously coached the Janesville Jets and earned Coach of the Year in 2021.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the Spokane Chiefs organization,” Burgess said in a statement. “It was clear this is a first-class organization with a progressive vision.”
The Chiefs open the 2026-27 season on Sept. 19 at Tri-City. The home opener is Sept. 26 at 6:05 p.m. Ticket packages are available by calling (509) 535-PUCK.
