NASHVILLE – The Seattle Seahawks showed improvement from their preseason opener, but it came at a cost Sunday night, falling to the Tennessee Titans 19-16.
Seattle jumped out to a 16-3 lead in the first half. Drew Lock looked sharp, completing 12 of 14 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown, while Elijah Arroyo caught a 36-yard score. Jacardia Wright also broke free for a 69-yard touchdown run.
But the second half belonged to Tennessee, which rallied for the win.
The biggest concern for Seattle was the injury list.
Rookie safety Bud Clark suffered a broken ankle on the first defensive play of the game. Head coach Mike Macdonald said Clark will miss multiple months.
Offensive lineman Mason Richman also left with a knee injury that is expected to keep him out long term.
Those injuries add to Seattle’s growing list of preseason setbacks, making health the biggest focus as the Seahawks head toward their final preseason game.
