PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State football has its starting quarterback for the 2026 season.
Head coach Kirby Moore and WSU named UC Davis transfer Caden Pinnick as QB1, winning the fall camp battle over returning Owen Eschelman and Julian Duggar.
Pinnick finished his time with the Aggies as a 2025 Jerry Rice Award Finalist and Freshman All-American, throwing for 3,206 passing yards and 32 passing touchdowns. He led the Big Sky in passing efficiency (172.4), passing touchdowns, passing yards per completion, and points responsible per game (17.7).
WSU kicks off the 2026 season against Washington in the 118th Apple Cup. The game arrives Sunday, Sept. 6 at 1:00 p.m.
