SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga men’s basketball gets another step closer to roster completion with today’s official signing of French guard Nathan De Sousa.
The 6’2 point guard played the previous five seasons for Cholet Basket, a professional French team in the LNB Elite league. He averaged 10.9 points, 4.9 assists, and 2.5 rebounds per game.
De Sousa joins a Zags team in the midst of a continued roster rebuild, and he’s currently the only experienced point guard in Spokane.
The current guard room consists of walk-on returner Alonzo Metz, freshman walk-on Gonzaga Prep star Carter Nilson, true freshman Luca Foster, and shooting guard transfer Isiah Harwell.
Transfers Javon Bennett, Chauncey Wiggins, and Xaviain Lee, plus internationals Juwan Ekanga-Ehawa and Izan Almansa, are all either currently ineligible or are not yet officially added to the final roster.
