SPOKANE, Wash. — A former student-athlete from Gonzaga University is being recognized for her work on and off the court.
Former Gonzaga basketball player Yvonne Ejim has been selected as a WCC nominee for the 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year. The award is given to graduated student-athletes recognized for achievements in athletics, academics, leadership, and service.
Ejim left Gonzaga as the all-time leader in scoring, rebounds, and field goals made. She also became the first player in WCC history to reach 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in her career.
Ejim was drafted 33rd overall by the Indiana Fever but was waived on May 7.
