SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga’s long-time head men’s basketball coach Mark Few earned another spot on a United States men’s basketball Olympic team, reportedly serving as an assistant coach for the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games.
Few, alongside Oklahoma City head coach Mark Daigneault and Detroit head coach JB Bickerstaff, make up the assistants for head coach Erik Spoelstra, the current head coach of the Miami Heat.
Few was on former USA head coach Steve Kerr’s staff from 2022-24, and Few also was an assistant coach for the gold-winning 2012 USA U-18 and a court coach for the 2009 USA U-19 team.
The current group of coaches takes on the 2027 FIBA World Cup in Doha, Qatar, before the Olympics.
