SPOKANE, Wash. – The Zags at long last have a starting-caliber point guard.
Dayton transfer Javon Bennett committed to Gonzaga today, a move possible as Bennett is one of the Ohio players granted an additional year of eligibility due to an ongoing lawsuit.
Bennett, an Orlando native, is the third Zags transfer commit, joining Massamba Diop (Arizona State) and Isaiah Harwell (Houston).
The 5’11 guard is a fantastic ball handler and three-point shooter, hitting 90 last season while shooting 39% from deep. He plays well against top competition and has solid defensive skills.
