SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga Bulldogs faced little resistance in a 91-59 exhibition home win over the Lewis-Clark State College Warriors, beating the local NAIA school to open the McCarthey Athletic Center for the 2026-27 season.
Parker Jefferson led the bench with 12 points, six rebounds, and two blocks, one of 12 Zags who played double-digit minutes.
“Yeah, Parker’s done a nice job,” head coach Mark Few said postgame. “I tell you what, he’s done a really nice job. He’s helping us bring the team together. We didn’t have many returnees, and he’s done a great job of welcoming everybody in and making them comfortable and just kind of being a great teammate. So obviously, it’s nice to be able to reward him with some moments like that out on the floor.”
Davis Fogle returned from a leg injury, scoring eight points on 4-for-9 shooting and adding two rebounds and two assists. Izan Almansa built on his strong previous performance at Arkansas with 12 points on 4-for-5 shooting and made both of his three-point attempts.
The Zags next face the Purdue Boilermakers in Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena next Monday at 4:30 p.m. to open the regular season.
