The Washington State football team will make a trip to SEC country next season, announcing Monday the Cougs will play at the University of Mississippi.
It will be the first time WSU and Ole Miss have played each other.
The last time WSU played an SEC team was 2013 at Auburn.
“The opportunity to face the University of Mississippi, with its rich football history, will be one our student-athletes, coaches and fans will certainly enjoy,” said WSU Director of Athletics Anne McCoy.
This is the seventh opponent confirmed on the WSU schedule next year.
The Cougs have already announced games against Idaho, San Diego State, Washington, Oregon State, North Texas and Virginia.
