SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga Women’s Basketball celebrated a special milestone this week: coach Lisa Fortier’s completion of breast cancer treatment.
Fortier announced last month she had been battling breast cancer since February.

She had surgery in April before starting treatments over the summer.
Fortier has been the head coach at Gonzaga since 2014. She served seven seasons as as assistant coach before that. Her husband, Craig Fortier, works as an assistant coach.
