SPOKANE, Wash. – An incredible fourth-quarter performance on both sides of the ball was enough to push the Gonzaga Bulldogs (3-2) over the Rice Owls (4-2) to earn another home win.
The Zags shot almost 60% in the fourth quarter and held the Owls to just 30%, both bests on both sides of the ball for Gonzaga.
Yvonne Ejim led the way for the Bulldogs, scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds including a late clutch shot to push the lead to 69-64.
Claire O’Connor also had a career night, shooting 4-7 from three and adding 19 total points, plus 10 boards.
Gonzaga now has their longest road streak of the season ahead, three weeks and two days until they return home.
They next play at the New Mexico Lobos this Sunday at noon.
